When people think of surgery, they often picture cold, sterile rooms and clinical conversations filled with jargon. But I believe that surgical care should be something entirely different—something deeply human. At Elite Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Oklahoma, we don’t just perform procedures; we create experiences. And at the heart of that experience is a culture built around something we call unreasonable hospitality.
Let me be clear: this isn’t about luxury for luxury's sake. It's about going far beyond what's expected to make people feel seen, heard, and deeply cared for—especially at one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. Whether you're a high-powered professional seeking full-arch dental implants, a grandparent exploring long-term solutions, or a teenager nervously facing wisdom teeth removal, our mission is the same: to treat you like family and deliver care that exceeds your expectations in every way.
Where Culture and Clinical Excellence Meet
I trained for over a decade to become a dual-degreed oral and maxillofacial surgeon, holding both a DMD and an MD. That journey took me through the world of dental medicine, general surgery, anesthesia, and complex facial reconstruction. But as much as I value technical mastery, I’ve come to realize that the real differentiator in surgical care isn’t just what happens in the operating room—it’s what happens before and after it.
And that comes down to culture.

Elite Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery- Tulsa clinical team. Each of us is committed to and takes pride in providing the best patient experience and care possible. I promise you will have an excellent experience, every step of the way with our Elite team.
Culture is what determines how a team treats a worried mom dropping off her son for wisdom teeth removal. It’s what shapes how we respond to a patient with a complicated medical history and a thousand questions. It's what drives a surgical assistant to hold a hand a little longer, a front desk coordinator to learn a patient's story, or a CRNA to pause and explain sedation in a way that dissolves fear.
What Unreasonable Hospitality Looks Like
If you walk into our practice, you won’t find egos or hierarchy. You’ll find teammates.
From Brandi, our regional manager who ensures excellence across offices, to Mike Norton, our trusted CRNA who has stood by my side through over 5,000 cases, to every assistant, coordinator, and treatment planner—we operate with a shared mindset: people first.
We believe unreasonable hospitality means anticipating needs that haven't even been voiced. It means seeing our patients not as charts or procedures, but as human beings who deserve our full attention, clarity, and compassion.
Unreasonable hospitality is why we call patients the night before their surgery, and again after they get home. It's why we explain everything with sincerity and without pretense. It's why we obsess over details most clinics overlook—because we know that how someone feels during care matters just as much as the care itself.
Why Culture Wins in the Long Run
In medicine, you can’t control every outcome. But you can control the culture. And the culture, more than anything, shapes how patients experience care, how teams grow, and how reputations are built.
I’ve seen the difference culture makes. I’ve seen patients cry tears of relief after years of living with painful, loose dentures. I’ve seen teenagers walk in terrified and walk out laughing. I’ve seen my team show up early, stay late, and fight hard to get pre-authorizations approved for treatments patients truly need. Not because it was required. Because they care.
"We’re not just building a surgical practice. We’re building a culture of excellence, empathy, and elite experiences. And that starts by treating every patient like they matter—because they do." —Dr. Jeremy Egan, DMD, MD
Behind Every Smile Is a Story
Recently, we treated a woman in her 60s who had worn ill-fitting dentures for nearly 20 years. She was a caretaker for her husband, rarely focused on herself, and barely spoke above a whisper. We created a custom full-arch implant plan. During her final appointment, as she looked in the mirror, she began to cry.

Dr. Egan, DMD, MD is trained in Anesthesiology in New York and often teams up with Nurse Anesthatists like Mike Norton (Pictured-right) whose expertise and 30+ years of experience, together will ensure a painless and comfortable experience.
"I didn’t know I could feel like this again," she said.
That’s not a medical or dental success story. That’s a human success story. And that’s why we do what we do.
The Vision That Drives Us
